Bolsonaro and Temer formally start transition government today

On the second day in Brasilia after the victory in the second round, President-elect Jair Bolsonaro (7) formally begins the transitional government today by meeting with President Michel Temer in the afternoon. In parallel, several ministers already confirmed in the future management are in Brasilia for dispatches and meetings.

Bolsonaro begins the day with a breakfast with the Commander of the Air Force, the Brigadier Nivaldo Luiz Rossato. He also has scheduled meetings with the presidents of the Supreme Court, Dias Toffoli, and the Superior Court of Justice (STJ), João Otávio de Noronha.
At 4 pm it will be the first time that Bolsonaro and Temer will meet to seal the symbolic beginning of the transitional government. On several occasions, the president-elect praised his predecessor for passing on information and making it easier for the team to take over in 2019.
Teams of the two presidents will work together to gather data and heal doubts in the effort to resolve difficulties for the elected government by the end of December. On the part of Bolsonaro, 27 people, including five without pay, were named and are working.
The teams will work on 10 work fronts, divided by thematic axes, under the coordination of the extraordinary ministers Onyx Lorenzoni and the Civil House, Eliseu Padilha. Economics, security, politics and social issues will be addressed. The forecast is to analyze the questions in three stages: evaluation, diagnosis and considerations for possible changes proposals.
Bolsonaro intends to go today (7) to the Cultural Center of the Bank of Brazil (CCBB), where the transitional government will function. The site, which is 8 kilometers from the Esplanada dos Ministérios and 4 from Planalto Palace, serves as a transition office since the first election of then-President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva.
