Iranian companies have exported medical equipment manufactured in Iran to 55 countries around the world, said the Director General of the Department of Medical Equipment.
According to Deputy Health Minister and General Director of the Medical Equipment Department, Reza Masaeli, there are more than 280,000 items of medical equipment developed in Iran, and the rate of production of medical equipment in the country grew by 9% in last years.
At present, 105 medical items developed by 23 Iranian companies are exported to 55 countries, including Russia, Germany, Italy, Belgium, the Netherlands and Croatia, he added.
Masaeli then pointed to the signing of agreements to export Iranian medical equipment to various countries such as Brazil, Iraq and Oman, adding that "the Medical Equipment Department of the Ministry of Health has signed an agreement with the Trade Promotion Organization to facilitate the participation of Iranian medical equipment producers at the German Medica fair, the Oman Health Expo, the Arab Health of the UAE and the international exhibition in Brazil. "
He said the Health Ministry's stated goal is to increase exports from $ 24 million to $ 240 million this year.
