President Michel Temer greeted Republican businessman Donald Trump on Wednesday for a victory over the White House. According to government spokesman Alexandre Parola, a letter was sent to the American with the message of Temer.
In the letter, Temer expressed the willingness of the Brazilian government to work together with the new government in Washington "for the mutual benefit of our peoples." The letter was read in a government spokesman's statement early this afternoon.
The Brazilian president emphasized in the message the history of the relations between Brazil and the United States, marked by the high degree of intensity and diversity at the governmental level and also in the ties that unite the societies and the business of the two countries in the most diverse fields.
