The ambassador of Iran to Brazil, Sayed Ali Saghayean, met with Luislinda Dias de Valois Santos, the Brazilian Minister of State for Human Rights.



In this meeting, he alluded to the realities of Iranian society in the field of human rights, including the rights of women and minorities. Saghayean also delivered a copy of the Declaration of Citizenship Rights signed by President Rouhani.
Iran's ambassador also called for intensifying cultural relations and human rights interactions between the two countries and establishing dialogue on human rights and at the same time extended an official invitation to the minister to visit Iran.
The Brazilian human rights minister, in turn, welcomed the positive developments in Iran, called for increased bilateral cooperation and cultural exchange and the use of the experiences of both countries in accommodating refugees, fighting drugs and expressed his willingness to make an official visit to Iran.
